very, very busy lady

Hello friends,

So my life the past few weeks days, has been super busy (see title) but I am determined to blog!  So here is a catch up of the events of the past week.

I had my first essay exam for Theater Heritage due last Wednesday.  And when I say essay exam, I mean BEAST.  Literally.  That thing was a beast.  The paper itself was ten pages (and that was only answering TWO questions), then on top of that, I had to write a 2-5 page scene.  So naturally, me being me, I wrote a five page play.  Not a scene, a Play.  It was considerably longer than the other ones.  Last Wednesday I was a zombie.  I was up till four in the morning writing the first part of the exam, then I had to go over it with my professor at 12:30pm.  She liked what I had written in my zombie state.  I turned it in officially yesterday, so let's hope I do well! Gotta keep my department 4.0!

Thursday was the start of Pacific's fall break and this year I got to go home! Yay!

On Friday, I woke up and got to watch all the TV I have been missing! (and I got to snuggle with my Murph-Dog) Then Allie and I got our Flu shots, and drove down to Orange with Justine to see Trevor (Allie's Boyfriend) in Chapman's production of Company.  He was amazing.  Its been awhile since I've seen him perform and I forgot how good he is (not that I forgot, but I forgot).  And he got his first KCACTF Nomination for his performance.  If only we were going to the same festival, we could hang out for a week.  Before the performance we went to this adorable Cupcake Shop in downtown Orange!

The Perfect Circle Cupcakery,
which won Cupcake Wars on Food network!

Then on Saturday, my dad woke me up and we went out for breakfast. Then Allie, my Dad and I went to an Alpaca Farm.  Yes.  An Alpaca farm.  My sister is obsessed with them (don't ask me why), so she dragged us out there ( it was only about 10 minutes away from my house).  The sad thing is that that was not my first time going to and Alpaca farm.  Then we went and picked our own Blackberries and Raspberries!  After that we went home and I pulled my pumpkin off the vine (I've been growing it since June).  I'm quite the accomplished farmer.  That night Allie, Justine and I went to Souplantation for dinner, then saw The Amazing Spiderman at the $3 theater.  Can I just say how attractive Andrew Garfield is?

On Sunday morning, my Dad cooked his traditional Sunday morning breakfast (cardboard pancakes and all), then I edited my monster paper.  Then the fam-bam and Justine went to the Outlets.  I really hate shopping.  It gives me panic attacks.  Unless I find something that I like then I get excited.  For example we went to Aldo and I found these really cute wedges for $30 (originally $100) so I bought two pairs :)  Then  my weekend came to a close, and I had to fly back to school :(

The exciting thing is that Dad's Day is in two weeks, so I'll be seeing my daddy again very soon! Too bad he can't bring the Murph with him.

That's all for now!

XOXO
Kate
