We have a problem....

So my roommate Joy and I have a problem.  Its not as much of a problem as it is an obsession.  And its getting out of control (for my roommate that is).

Recently in my lighting class we watched the 25th Anniversary Concert Recording of Les Miserables (which I had seen part of before, but I didn't remember most of it, only that Nick Jonas was not the best) anyway, the guy who played Enjolas is completely gorgeous.  In.  Every.  Possible. Way.

His voice is beautiful and he is beautiful, and I kinda fell in love with him.  Anyhoo, I got back home and told Joy about the Beautifulness of Enjolas.  And it turns out she is in love with him too.

So naturally, we pulled out our inner creepers, and learned everything we could about him.

Name: Ramin Karimloo
Age: 34
Birth Place: Iran (moved to Canada, then to England)
Sexual Orientation: STRAIGHT! (Finally! We found one!)
Relationship Status: Married (with two kids)

So there is my soapbox of creepiness.  We also found out that he played the Phantom in the 25th Anniversary Cast of Phantom of the Opera and played the Phantom in Love Never Dies (the Phantom Sequel)

So we watched the 25th Anniversary of Phantom (Its on Netflix, I highly recommend it), and Joy became OBSESSED.  Like to the point of no return (see what I did there?)

and after it was over, we spent three hours finding and printing out pictures of him, and now we have more addition to our Broadway Boys closet (though technically he is a West End Boy [man]).

And Joy has been secretly watching the phantom videos on Youtube of him all weekend.  How she did this without me knowing, I have no idea.  And so now, Ramin's voice has been playing in our room 24/7.

Don't believe me? Watch this video!

So pretty much, he's beautiful, and brilliant, and a fantastic actor and singer.

rant over.

Truth

very, very busy lady

Hello friends,

So my life the past few weeks days, has been super busy (see title) but I am determined to blog!  So here is a catch up of the events of the past week.

I had my first essay exam for Theater Heritage due last Wednesday.  And when I say essay exam, I mean BEAST.  Literally.  That thing was a beast.  The paper itself was ten pages (and that was only answering TWO questions), then on top of that, I had to write a 2-5 page scene.  So naturally, me being me, I wrote a five page play.  Not a scene, a Play.  It was considerably longer than the other ones.  Last Wednesday I was a zombie.  I was up till four in the morning writing the first part of the exam, then I had to go over it with my professor at 12:30pm.  She liked what I had written in my zombie state.  I turned it in officially yesterday, so let's hope I do well! Gotta keep my department 4.0!

Thursday was the start of Pacific's fall break and this year I got to go home! Yay!

On Friday, I woke up and got to watch all the TV I have been missing! (and I got to snuggle with my Murph-Dog) Then Allie and I got our Flu shots, and drove down to Orange with Justine to see Trevor (Allie's Boyfriend) in Chapman's production of Company.  He was amazing.  Its been awhile since I've seen him perform and I forgot how good he is (not that I forgot, but I forgot).  And he got his first KCACTF Nomination for his performance.  If only we were going to the same festival, we could hang out for a week.  Before the performance we went to this adorable Cupcake Shop in downtown Orange!

The Perfect Circle Cupcakery,
which won Cupcake Wars on Food network!

Tuxedo Cupcake.

Then on Saturday, my dad woke me up and we went out for breakfast. Then Allie, my Dad and I went to an Alpaca Farm.  Yes.  An Alpaca farm.  My sister is obsessed with them (don't ask me why), so she dragged us out there ( it was only about 10 minutes away from my house).  The sad thing is that that was not my first time going to and Alpaca farm.  Then we went and picked our own Blackberries and Raspberries!  After that we went home and I pulled my pumpkin off the vine (I've been growing it since June).  I'm quite the accomplished farmer.  That night Allie, Justine and I went to Souplantation for dinner, then saw The Amazing Spiderman at the $3 theater.  Can I just say how attractive Andrew Garfield is?

Fresh Picked Raspberries.

My Pumpkin!

On Sunday morning, my Dad cooked his traditional Sunday morning breakfast (cardboard pancakes and all), then I edited my monster paper.  Then the fam-bam and Justine went to the Outlets.  I really hate shopping.  It gives me panic attacks.  Unless I find something that I like then I get excited.  For example we went to Aldo and I found these really cute wedges for $30 (originally $100) so I bought two pairs :)  Then  my weekend came to a close, and I had to fly back to school :(

The exciting thing is that Dad's Day is in two weeks, so I'll be seeing my daddy again very soon! Too bad he can't bring the Murph with him.

That's all for now!

I am so excited!!!

In about 150 days I will be boarding a plane for LONDON, ENGLAND!

I am so excited, you don't even know.  It has been one of my life long dreams to go to London.  Its the birth place of of WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE for heavens sake (well England is).  The globe is there, and the crown jewels, and harrods, and Buckingham Palace, and the Olympic Stadium where Michael Phelps made history this summer!  The city of London has so much history and culture, and I am ecstatic to soak it all in.

The best part is that almost all of my best friends are going!  Amanda, and Amy, and my sister too!  Still working on Cortney!

So if my posts become centered around London, in the coming months do not be surprised.

I have a feeling that this Spring Break is going to be one of the best of my life.

BTW if you are a Pacific (or non-pacific student who is friends with a pacific student) and want to go to London over spring break, here's the link to the program.  It's a great deal!

Disappointed

So I came across my blog the other day, and I realized that I have not posted on in it in about a year.  Which made me very disappointed with myself!  Last fall I promised myself that I would post regularly on here, and I failed to keep that promise to myself.

Things are going to change.  Now.

Its a new school year, new beginning, and a new look on life.  I'm going to implement a change in me, and I'm going to stick to it.

Watch out world.  Here I come.
